Undetectable Dental Crowns and Bridges

At Birch Street Dental Care, our goal is to provide you with dental bridges and crowns that are undetectable to the untrained eye! We want your dental restorations to look just like your natural teeth, so no one will be able to tell that you have had dental work done.

For this purpose, we create crowns and fillings that look like your natural teeth. We can also sculpt crowns or caps over your existing teeth which will provide the tooth with a natural look and function again. Crowns are an excellent choice for teeth that have been damaged or are decayed beyond repair. To accommodate your busy schedule, we offer financing options and extended hours, and we accept most insurance. Call us today.

Dental Problem Solved by Crowns

  • Misshapen teeth
  • Badly broken teeth
  • Decayed teeth
  • Severely stained teeth

How Long Does It Take to Get a Crown?

Getting a crown will require you to visit our office twice. During your initial visit, we will remove the decay, shape the tooth, and fit it with a temporary crown for further procedure.

For the following visit, we will remove the temporary crown, and then fit and adjust the final crown. Finally, we will cement the crown in place, and you will have a new fully functioning tooth. Give us a call today if you have any questions regarding crowns and crown fittings.

How Long Will a Crown Last?

With proper care and utilization, a dental crown can last as long as 20 to 30 years. We create crowns that match the shape, size, and color of your teeth giving you a natural, long-lasting beautiful smile.

What Are Dental Bridges?

Gaps left by missing teeth eventually cause the remaining teeth to rotate or shift into empty spaces, resulting in a bad bite. Dental bridges can replace a single missing tooth or several teeth. A dental bridge can be an effective way to restore the aesthetics and function of your smile. It acts as a solution for replacing missing teeth and uses the existing, surrounding teeth as anchors to hold the replacement crown in place.

How Is a Bridge Attached?

The attachment procedure usually takes two or three appointments to complete. Your first appointment will consist of your dentist preparing the teeth on either side of the gap left by missing teeth in your mouth. The dentist will remove a portion of the enamel and dentin to make room for the bridge.

Next, an impression of your teeth will be taken. This will ensure that a bridge will be fabricated that will fit precisely to your unique bite and match the opposing teeth. The impressions will be sent to a lab where it will be created.

At your final appointment, the bridge will be anchored to your natural teeth or an implant that surrounds the empty space in your smile. The teeth that act as anchors for the bridge are called abutments. Finally, a replacement tooth is attached to the crown that covers the abutments. Get in touch with us today to learn more about bridge attachments. We have been providing our community with quality dental care since 1980!

How Do I Take Care of My Dental Bridge?

Bridges can be cared for with regular brushing and flossing to keep both the bridge and surrounding teeth clean and healthy. It is very important to keep the teeth around the bridge healthy because the bridge relies on the neighboring teeth to act as a foundation for support.

I had a dental emergency and Birch Street got me in the next day even though I recently moved north and was not one of their patients. The staff and doctors were kind, helpful, understanding, explained things thoroughly, gave an estimate of cost and gave me choices. The whole experience was excellent!!
